During a 72-hour railway possession, teams installed four bridge spans in just 10 hours as part of Network Rail’s Access for All programme. Using 500-tonne and 750-tonne mobile cranes, the new footbridge was lifted into place, connecting all platforms and bringing step-free access to the station for the first time.

King Lifting was appointed by LTC to undertake the dismantle of a Jost JTL 168.8 luffing jib tower crane positioned on a rooftop steel grillage at Trafalgar Way, London, adjacent to Canary Wharf. The roof level was approximately 113.0m above road level.

Lifting 8 battlers and 2 AC skids per day and then moving the crane ready for the next day. Batteries weigh 41t and ac skids weigh 36t. 11 setups total. LTM1230 used with various ballast to accommodate the tight site conditions, travelled with full 72t of ballast each time.
